Will-to-Live Project

In today's society, we live in an ever-changing culture of death. Every year more and more efforts are made to remove your right to life saving treatment including fine print in DNR orders that allows your doctor to remove hydration, nutrition, and medication BEFORE your death. Our healthcare professionals are taught to expect the worst but not to hope for the best and as that trend continues, our families are pressured to remove life-saving care and treatments with confusing jargon disguised as compassion. This often leaves our family confused and trying to guess what we would want when we can't speak for ourselves.

At MS Right to Life we believe life should be preserved at all costs, but we also believe that patients and their families should have the right to make healthcare decisions based on facts and their own beliefs. Many advanced directives are very restrictive in their choices and in some cases remove the patient's and family's choices by assigning those RIGHTS to the physician. Our national branch's legal team has created a healthcare power of attorney that is legally binding and tailored for our state. It is geared toward life affirming options and fully customizable so you can know that your wishes are known and followed. You can find that document at the link below.

Petitions

Peopele often say that their voice doesn't matter but it does especially when it is combined with others. We are constantly distributing petitions so that ALL of our voices are heard.

Our current petition asks that major pharmacies stop distributing the dangerous abortion pill Mifepristone. Despite the abortion industry's claims, it is NOT "as safe as Tylenol" and whether you believe abortion is right or wrong we can all agree that intentionally causing a miscarriage in a woman who often hasn't even been physically examined by a doctor is dangerous. It can lead to rupture of ectopic pregnancies, severe bleeding and even infection due to incomplete miscarriages. By distributing them outside of a clinic, it is easier for people to misuse it including the ability of someone procuring the drug and giving it to another individual without their knowledge.

Please download the petition linked below and distribute it at you church or civic group or go door to door and see how many of your neighbors feel the same. When you are finished, you can mail it back to the address at the bottom or to Mississippi Right to Life, 109 Brooklyn Dr, Natchez, MS 39120 or you are welcome to scan it and send it to us by emailing it to righttolifems@gmail.com.

This is a national petition and will be used to let our national leaders as well as the businesses mentioned know that we do NOT want such dangerous substances available to the public.
